SJCNBNA aims to support Black nurses and advocate for Black and other minority groups to receive equitable health services and education in the seven southern counties of New Jersey: Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem.

To join SJCNBNA, you can visit their membership registration page and complete the application process. Membership is open to registered nurses, licensed practical/vocational nurses, nursing students, and associate members.

Membership dues vary based on the membership category:

  • Registered Nurse (RN): $210 annually (National Dues: $160, Chapter Dues: $50)
  • Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN): $175 annually (National Dues: $125, Chapter Dues: $50)
  • Student Nurse: $60 annually (National Dues: $35, Chapter Dues: $25)
  • Associate Member: $225 annually (National Dues: $175, Chapter Dues: $50)
  • Retired Member: $150 annually (National Dues: $100, Chapter Dues: $50)

Yes, SJCNBNA offers annual scholarships to members who are nursing students. Scholarships range in amounts and are presented at the Annual Scholarship event.
